The 54th Art in the Park took place on 4-8 May 2016 at KZN National Botanical Garden, Pietermaritzburg.
Notwithstanding bad weather on Saturday and Sunday, 07 and 8 May 2016 respectively, sales of just above R1,1M were recorded.
“The Theme for 54th Art in the Park (2016) was ‘Promoting Social Cohesion through Art’, and diversity of patrons this time around was notable. This can be attributed to new communication mediums that we employed for the first time”, said Dumisani Mhlongo Director-Msunduzi Pietermaritzburg Tourism Association.
While we congratulate top sellers and school competition winners, we thank our main sponsor Creative Arts College, KZN national Botanical Gardens and all media partners for making this year’s Exhibition a great success that it was.
